Dr Alison Lewis 150x150MBChB MRCP DRCOG MRCGP

I graduated from Birmingham University Medical School in 1989 and initially trained in hospital medicine. I have spent periods of time working in Australia and Singapore. My general practice training was undertaken in London and I moved to Yorkshire with my family in 2004.


Dr Andy Higgins 150x150MBChB MRCGP DPD MFDS(RCPS)

I graduated from Leeds Medical School in 2004, having previously qualified as a dentist in 1996. I spent 10 years training in surgical specialties (mostly Maxillofacial and ENT), before changing to general practice in 2007. My particular areas of interest are ENT, dermatology and minor surgery.

I graduated from Leeds Medical School in 1983 and have worked as a full-time GP in Alwoodley since 1988. I took semi-retirement in 2015 and now work 1 day per week.

I graduated from University College and Middlesex School of Medicine, London in 1993. I previously studied Applied Zoology at Bangor, North Wales. I have been a GP principal since 1998 and have been a partner at the practice since 2004.

I graduated from Leeds University Medical School in 2002 and went on to train as a GP in Airedale. I joined the practice as a partner in 2006.

I graduated from Bristol University in 2004.  I worked in various hospital specialties before moving into general practice. I completed my training in East Anglia in 2015. 


Dr Jorge Alegria 150x150MD MRCGP

I qualified in 1999 and moved to England in 2001. I practiced in hospital medicine until commencing my GP training in Yorkshire in 2007. I have a keen interest in ENT, musculoskeletal medicine, minor surgery and joint injections.

I graduated from Sheffield University in 2000 and completed my GP training in Bradford in 2006. I joined Moorcroft surgery as a salaried GP in 2014.


Dr Martin Sutcliffe 150x150MBChB, FRCA (2011), FRCGP, PGCertMedEd.

I graduated from Aberdeen Medical School in 2004, and after spending far too long working in hospitals I finished training as a GP in 2016 in the Wakefield area. I joined the practice in 2016 as a partner. I am now a GP trainer, and supervise the GP Registrars in the practice. As well as medical education I am interested in musculoskeletal problems and provide steroid injections to the Shoulder, wrist, carpal tunnel, small joints of the hand and knees.

I graduated from Cambridge University in 2011. Following a period of time spent working in hospital  medicine in London, I went on to train   as a GP in Leeds. I joined the practice in 2019. I am  interested in medical education.

I graduated from Leeds University Medical School in 1998. Following a period of time spent working in hospital medicine, I went on to train as a GP in Harrogate. I joined the practice in 2006 as a partner.

I graduated from Glasgow University in 1994. I completed my GP training in Nottingham before moving to Leeds. I joined the practice in 1998 as a partner.


Fiona Steele 150x150RGN

I qualified in 1991 in Glasgow. I then came to work in Killingbeck before St James's. I have work as a Practice Nurse for 8 years. I have special interests in Diabetes care and chronic disease management.


Alison TateI joined the Practice in 2004 as a fully qualified Healthcare Assistant, and undertake many varied tasks within my role.



Tracey Pickford 150x150I began working at the Practice in 2003 as a Receptionist. I then went on to qualify as a Phlebotomist in 2010 and as a Primary Healthcare Assistant in 2013.



Jayne Tait 150x150Business Manager

I have worked at the Practice since January 2007 after starting my career in practice management In Edinburgh in 2003.
