I graduated from Birmingham University Medical School in 1989 and initially trained in hospital medicine. I have spent periods of time working in Australia and Singapore. My general practice training was undertaken in London and I moved to Yorkshire with my family in 2004.

I graduated from Aberdeen Medical School in 2004, and after spending far too long working in hospitals I finished training as a GP in 2016 in the Wakefield area. I joined the practice in 2016 as a partner. I am now a GP trainer, and supervise the GP Registrars in the practice. As well as medical education I am interested in musculoskeletal problems and provide steroid injections to the Shoulder, wrist, carpal tunnel, small joints of the hand and knees.

My background is in Nursing and Midwifery, qualifying in 1987 as a Midwife. I worked at St James's until 2010 and then volunteered in the community. I joined the practice in 2016 and am happy to be experiencing primary care in a community setting.
