The NHS prescription charge in England is a flat-rate amount. 

If you require multiple medications, and you are not exempted, a prescription prepayment certificate (PPC) can offer considerable savings.

At present charges (correct August 2023) are:

• Prescription (per item): £9.65
• 12-month prepayment certificate (PPC): £111.60
• 3-month PPC: £31.25
