Appointments are available at a range of times; our aim is to offer a consultation with a health care professional when clinically necessary. Urgent cases are seen within 24 hours, but a doctor may wish to discuss the degree of urgency by telephone prior to booking the appointment. Please call as early as possible to request an urgent on-the-day appointment.
At present appointments can be booked up to 3 to 4 weeks in advance. You may specify a preference for a particular doctor, but this may mean you have to wait longer.
Routine appointments are for 10 minutes duration. Please ensure that separate appointments are made for each person needing to see the doctor/nurse/healthcare assistant.
The surgery provides a free text reminder service for appointments and health campaigns.
Please advise us if you do not wish to be contacted by text message. Equally if you do wish to use this service, please ensure we have your current mobile number.
Please help us
If you are not able to attend your appointment please let us know in time so that the time can be used for someone else. If you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment you may be asked to re-book.
Extended opening hours
We work in partnership with neighbouring surgeries to offer increased access to primary care services. Out area ‘Hub’ is located at Rutland Lodge Medical Centre on Scott Hall Road. At present this mainly provides Saturday morning surgeries, but this is expected to expand over time.
If you feel that your problem is urgent we can fit you in to see a doctor on the same day. The receptionist may put you in touch with one of the doctors so that your condition can be assessed.
Telephone access (during office hours on 0113 393 0119)
To speak to a clinician for medical advice you can make a same day telephone appointment – please call before 11:00
